The International Assoc. of Who’s Who names Tammy J. Klawitter as Professional of the Year
Tammie J. Klawitter, of Wadena, Minnesota is recognized by the International Assoc. of Who’s Who for exemplary achievements in the field of Nursing.
New York, NY, September 13, 2017 --(PR.com)-- With over thirty-four years in the field of Nursing, Tammie has been a crucial asset to Comfort Care Cottages. Located in Wadena, Minnesota, Comfort Care Cottages is a twenty-four hour on-call facility that offers nursing, independent and assisted living services to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
As a registered nurse at Comfort Care Cottages for the past three years, Tammie’s duties encompass all facets of nursing and geriatric care as well as staff education and physician relations, assessment and caring for patients, as well as establishing and utilizing the new medication count system and initiating and utilizing electronic data entry and documentation.
Tammie holds a Registered Nurse Degree from St. Luke’s School of Nursing. In addition, she is a Parish Nurse and has a CPR Certification (CPRC) and IV Therapy Certification (IVTC).
Tammie serves as a member of the International Nurses Association. Meanwhile, she supports the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, the Empty Stocking Campaign, and the Radiothon to End Child Abuse.
Tammie attributes her level of nursing success to emulating her mother’s work ethic who had an admirable 55 years of nursing experience. Most of all Tammie is proud to have been instrumental in the development of a new psychotropic program at a LTC facility, and which has been shared and used at other LTC facilities as well.
In her free time, she enjoys camping, reading, gardening, and spending time with family.
Looking ahead, Tammie hopes to continue to be a positive influence at Comfort Care Cottage and in the community by continuing the mission to “Love My People” while treating her work family with love, dignity, and respect - with a little bit of humor thrown for good measure!
