Pennsylvania Home Inventory Professional Achieves Appraisal Examiner Certification

Export, PA, September 15, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Nationwide Inventory Professionals is pleased to announce that Licensee Lavon Kearney of Serenity Assured Inventory Solution has achieved her certification as an Appraisal Examiner (CAE). This certification is designed to serve the appraisal needs of direct clients in addition to filling the examiner role for the appraisal industry. Earning this next level helps Kearney expand the scope of her Export, Pennsylvania-based home and business inventory service, Serenity Assured Inventory Solution.

The growth of the personal property inventory industry has created an opportunity for contents inventory professionals to serve as Appraisal Examiners. This certification provides the credentials to assist appraisers by collecting the required information the appraisers need to create an accurate (USPAP) compliant certified report. By achieving this designation, appraisal firms are able to locate certified, qualified examiners, which helps NICA members grow their businesses through additional revenue opportunities.

Understanding the need for continuing education, Kearney chose to add this second industry educational achievement to her previously-earned Certified Inventory Specialist (CIS) designation through the National Inventory Certification Association (NICA). The CIE designation is an all-encompassing industry recognition while the CAE focuses specifically on the appraisal industry. To help ensure that she is prepared to serve this niche in a knowledgeable and professional manner, her CIS was a prerequisite to pursuing the Appraisal Examiner Certification. She was required to successfully complete the Customer Service and Appraisal Examiner courses, plus one additional course chosen from the NICA curriculum.

When completing an inventory service for residential and commercial clients, the inventory professional is often asked if they know the value of items, or if they can refer an appraiser. Kearney is now able to fill this request, eliminating the need for the client to work with two vendors. It also eliminates the need for a 2nd appointment, which brings more convenience to the homeowner.
