CEO of Gina Carey Films, “Gina Carey” to Launch the 1st Annual Coachella Valley Independent Film Awards in 2018
International Soul Recording Artist and Indie Filmmaker, Gina Carey to honor filmmakers with micro budget films in a red carpet Oscar style fashion annually at the Camelot theatres.
Palm Springs, CA, September 20, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The CV Indie Film Awards is an annual event that recognizes and provides awards of achievement to under exposed, unknown and unnoticed independent filmmakers, actors, actress, cinematographers, and screenwriters with or who are staring in films with micro production budgets. The demographic of submission acceptance is limited to filmmakers in California, Arizona and Nevada.
The targeted goal of the CVIFA is to provide an annual Academy Award Red Carpet style event that will give talented filmmakers an opportunity to showcase their unique artistry through filmmaking and to increase the level of awareness amongst their peers and community.
What makes the CVIFA so unique is that this particular awards primarily focuses on the acceptance of indie filmmakers who are sometimes passed over and not given the opportunity to showcase their due to low production budgets and unrecognizable actors.
Financial limitations can interfere with a film production quality, therefore the CVIFA will provide a venue for filmmakers with these types challenges to be recognized and awarded amongst other filmmakers with similar drawbacks.
While it is not our goal to encourage lack of drive or determination for reaching their fullest potential, it is our goal to offer support and encouragement through their growth process. We want to serve as cheerleaders, rooting them on and giving them the boost they need in the continuance of their film journeys.
The CV Indie Film Awards was started by Indie filmmaker Gina Carey, CEO of Gina Carey Films (Family Film Movie Production Company since 2015) and Gico Music (Indie Record Company since 1996).
Because Gina herself has experienced the highs and lows of the entertainment business, she is well aware how difficult it can be commanding notable industry attention, especially when there is a lack of monetary and congregational support, as it pertains to the pursuance of artistic dreams.
