Book Synopsis
An elusive killer is brutally murdering young women and leaving a puzzling trail of clues at the crime scenes that only one man can decipher and he has to do it with a skill he didn’t ask for, can’t control, and doesn’t understand. Paired with two seasoned detectives, can he help them stop the escalating spree before it becomes personal or is it already? Morgan Branch finds himself at mid-life, single, without purpose, working a mundane factory job when fate changes his life. But the new path isn’t easy as he struggles to control the images and visions that randomly scurry through his mind. If he can master the gift, he can help catch a murderer, but will it be in time? About the Author
John Albion is retired and living in Florida after a successful career in business. Silent Messages is John's 2nd novel. He released Beyond Fate in 2003, a paranormal thriller. Currently he is working on a follow-up to Silent Messages, soon to become the Morgan Branch series. When not writing John spends his time golfing and relaxing with a glass of wine. John is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and his resume includes such diverse activities as having operated military jet aircraft, landed on an aircraft carrier, driven a race car, purchased $14M of steel and survived the 60's.

The New Apple Summer E-Book Awards for Excellence in Independent Publishing was established to honor the creative achievements of the unsung books fighting for their place within the digital publishing world. Any English language e-book published within the last three years, currently available for sale by an independent author or small press that met the Awards' guidelines was eligible for entry. One book was chosen in each category as the solo Medalist Winner receiving the highest honors. In addition, the judges were permitted to choose up to three Official Selections for category distinction.
