Steve Mann, Father of Wearable Computing, to Keynote 2017 Silicon Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum

Santa Clara, CA, September 19, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Steve Mann, widely regarded as the “Father of Wearable Computing," [http://wearcam.org/nn.htm] will be the Keynote Speaker at the Silicon Valley Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum (SVIEF) in Santa Clara, CA on September 28, 2017.

Mann will introduce the new field of “Inventrepreneurship” (Invention + Entrepreneurship) and provide details about his upcoming Inventrepreneurship course at the University of Toronto. He will also discuss the latest developments in wearable computing and phenomenological augmented reality, and announce the launch of two new MannLab (http://mannlab.com) locations: Shenzhen, China, and Santa Clara, California.

Steve Mann invented wearable computing during his childhood in the 1960s and 70s, founded the MIT wearable computing project in the 1990s [see above link] and has continued to lead this multi-billion industry as a founder or co-founder of a number of successful wearable computing companies including Meta, InteraXon (makers of the the Muse brainsensing headband and the Muse Safilo eyeglass), and VisionerTech.
