Improving the Public Perception of Fracking Using DW Liquid ROS

Regardless of individual opinion on the matter, there is a public perception that fracking contaminates drinking water. What is the most cost-effective method of combating that belief?

Martinez, CA, September 22, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Rather than spending millions of dollars on counter-studies and public relations campaigns, why not spend a few thousand dollars on a treatment process that will improve oil recovery and the quality of the water reintroduced into the process? Using this new product entering the oil production community has proven to help improve Frac water and improve oil production.

The Problem
Traditionally, frac water becomes more laden with iron sulfide, hydrogen sulfide, unrecoverable petroleum, and a wide range of organics with reuse. Depending on surrounding ground conditions, those now liquid toxins are then able to flow into drinking water supplies when reinjected into the well.

The Solution
Treating frac water with DW Liquid ROS (JC series of products) before reinjection precipitates metals, eliminates hydrogen sulfide, kills bacteria, dissolves biofilm, and separates oil as a recoverable by-product – reducing the contaminates that could possibly enter the drinking water supply. This is a new and novel approach to helping improve the environment.

What is DW Liquid ROS?
In the most simple of terms, ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) – nature’s preferred oxidizing agent – is a class of oxygen species with exceptional oxidizing capability. DW Liquid ROS is a highly concentrated solution of a combination of several of these species.

Natural oxidation progression depends on the interaction of the specific ROS available and the minerals present. Because DW Liquid ROS contains multiple ROS species, it does not matter what minerals are present in the treatment process because they will be reactive with at least one of the components in the solution.

How does DW Liquid ROS Work?
Addition of DW Liquid ROS to bring the water to 700 mV (using a simple ORP meter for monitoring) initiates the chemical process. At that concentration, there is sufficient oxidizing agent to precipitate metals, remove hydrogen sulfide, and create an oil layer concentrated enough to skim and refine. The remaining clear water is then ready to return to the injection process.

As an added benefit, the reinjected water still contains active ROS which could disinfect any contaminated groundwater it may come in contact with.
