Light Hands Reiki Studio to Offer Weekend Reiki Relaxation Clinic (9/23) (9/24) (Los Angeles, CA)
Light Hands Reiki Studio in Los Angeles will offer a low-cost Reiki Relaxation Clinic this weekend (Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24). Veteran Reiki III Practitioner Marlan Warren will be on hand to conduct the half hour "Chair Reiki" relaxation sessions.
Los Angeles, CA, September 23, 2017 --(PR.com)-- This weekend, Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24, the Light Hands Reiki Studio in Los Angeles will celebrate its re-opening with a low-cost Chair Reiki Clinic for anyone in need of relaxation, pain management, or a body/mind recharge.
"I believe that Reiki is simply a non-invasive, gentle way to help people balance themselves emotionally and physically," explained Marlan Warren, the Reiki III practitioner who facilitates the clinics, workshops and classes at the studio.
Warren began her study of the Japanese healing modality in 1984 at the now-closed Los Angeles Reiki Center with the late Joyce Morris, the 44th Reiki Master in the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage (original Japanese Reiki branch).
"My then-husband was a filmmaker who arranged for us to receive Reiki training in exchange for a promotional video that Joyce wanted," Warren recalled. "I was chronically ill at the time and trying every alternative healing path that I could find."
Although she acknowledges that Reiki was only one aspect of her healing process, Warren maintains that it was "the only modality that stuck" with her for the past 33 years.
What exactly is a Chair Reiki session?
"Chair Reiki is a half hour shorter than the traditional Table Reiki session," Warren explained. "Receivers leave their clothes on and just relax while the practitioner allows energy to flow to specific body points."
Warren added, "I maintain healthy boundaries and respectful ethics throughout a session. And if someone doesn't want to be touched at all, the effect is still the same."
The studio started up seven years ago, and has been dormant for over a year due to Warren's need for eye surgery to eliminate progressive blindness. With her eyesight restored now, she is planning on resuming Reiki workshops and classes.
"Now more than ever we all need to relax and feel good about ourselves no matter what is going on around us," said Warren. "That is the purpose of this studio."
