Turning Technologies to Host Learning Forum at NEOMED
Event will highlight active learning techniques, student response technology.
Youngstown, OH, September 28, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Turning Technologies, the global leader in learning engagement and assessment solutions, will hold the Turning Technologies Learning Forum on Oct. 18 at the Northeast Ohio Medical University. The forum will focus on innovative teaching, active learning and how technology like student response systems (SRS) can support these endeavors.
The learning forum features two keynote speakers. Conor McLennan, an associate professor of Psychology and director of the Language Research Laboratory at Cleveland State University, will share various ways to apply research findings from cognitive psychology to teaching and learning, as well as best practices and ways to encourage active participation with the use of student response clickers.
Professor of Chemistry at the University of Akron David Perry’s address will focus on best practices for using interactive student polling to enhance student achievement in large undergraduate classes. In particular, he will enumerate how student response technology supports a flipped classroom and how it enables daily testing and active learning.
