Temporary Elevator, Window, and Floor Protection Provided to Andersen Construction’s Touchmark Project by Builders Site Protection

Portland, OR, September 28, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Builders Site Protection is pleased to be providing all finish surface protection for Andersen Construction’s Touchmark Retirement Community project in Portland, Oregon. A comprehensive system of floor, countertop, window, and hard surface protective films are being used to protect floors, windows, and elevators of this new project.

Floor and Countertop 2-in-1 Film has been applied to thousands of square feet of hard flooring. To protect the custom glass façade and entryway to the main clubhouse lodge, 180-day rated Window Film 180 is being used to keep the bespoke glass panels clean and scratch-free. Window protection is particularly important at this project as thousands of square feet of glass is being used to cover the fitness center and main entryway to the building.

When completed Touchmark will be a 273 unit luxury retirement home, featuring a clubhouse, a patio, and a state-of-the-art fitness center with an indoor pool. Set for completion in the first quarter of 2018, Touchmark has now progressed far enough for finish surface installations. As this project progresses, more surface protection for windows, floors, and hard surfaces will be needed.

The Touchmark project required a creative solution to protect the elevators on-site. To do so, President of Builders Site Protection, Pat Mullen, visited the Touchmark project last month to document the surface protection being used. Following her visit to the project, she had to say, “Elevators have always been an in-demand finish requiring protection, but given the variety in elevator dimensions it can be difficult to create an ideal elevator protection solution. So to prevent this damage, we partnered with Andersen Construction to create a mix of hard surface films and edge protection to keep their elevators protected.”
