Cask 88 Unveils New Website Advancing the Pursuit of Great Whisky
Edinburgh, United Kingdom, October 02, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Scottish whisky specialists Cask 88 yesterday launched their new-look website to coincide with the launch of two exclusive independent bottlings and their historic first appearance at Asia’s leading international art fair, Fine Art Asia 2017.
The revamped website at cask88.com is designed to give whisky enthusiasts across the globe a luxurious and seamless experience when browsing online for rare and old Scottish single malt whisky. Customers can choose to purchase their very own cask or select one of the rare bottled expressions from the online shop. Cask owners can then collaborate with experts at Cask 88 to create their very own unique whisky product, exploring every option from re-casking and storage through to bespoke bottling and labelling. The ‘Behind the Bottle’ blog keeps whisky enthusiasts informed of industry developments, suggests new opportunities to make a statement with own-brand whisky and provides insight into the world of cask whisky.
This launch comes alongside Cask 88’s inaugural appearance at Fine Art Asia 2017, at which antique whisky will be exhibited alongside ancient and contemporary art from across the globe for the first time ever, giving recognition to vintage whisky as a branch of fine art in its own right.
Further consolidating their role as a pioneering whisky company, Cask 88 will be launching two new and exclusive independent bottlings at the event, a Glenfiddich 53 year old 1964 (ABV 46%, first fill sherry cask), bottled in a Hamilton & Inches crystal decanter and a Ben Nevis 45 year old 1972 (ABV 42%), which is the result of collaboration between Scottish and international fine artists and craftsmen. Both independent bottlings will be available first to attendees of Fine Art Asia 2017, then listed on the Cask 88 website after the fair.
“These independent bottlings are a fine example of what can be achieved by anyone who comes to us seeking to bottle their own cask of whisky,” said Cask 88 Director Patrick Costello. “The new website is a bold new look for the company, which will provide a warm welcome to whisky enthusiasts seeking to enter the wonderful world of owning old and rare whisky.” Cask 88’s new independent bottlings will be exhibited at the fair, and are therefore among the first pieces of vintage whisky to be recognised as fine art. They will sit alongside a carefully curated collection of rare and old casks and individual bottles. Details of all the products available at Fine Art Asia are available on the new Cask 88 website and blog, and samples will be available at the fair.
Cask 88 has relationships with the most desirable and sought-after distilleries that have their own world-class brands. They have sold casks with fill-dates ranging from 1964 to 2012 and offer casks from over 40 distilleries across all major regions. Whether seeking to complete a personal collection or to fulfil a commercially driven project, those interested in pursuing their own independent bottling project should visit the Cask 88 website for more information.
