South Carolina Inventory Professional Achieves Appraisal Examiner Certification
Certified Inventory Specialist and owner of Accurate Inventory recently achieved the Certified Appraisal Examiner Designation.
Easley, SC, October 04, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Nationwide Inventory Professionals is pleased to announce that Licensee Randy Bagwell, owner of Easley-based Accurate Inventory has achieved his Certified Appraisal Examiner (CAE) designation through the National Inventory Certification Association (NICA). The purpose of a CAE designation is to establish recognition for this specialized service, providing the opportunity for appraisal firms to locate certified, qualified examiners, and for inventory professionals to offer this specialized service.
Mike Hartman, owner of Nationwide Inventory Professionals, stated, “As a retired insurance adjuster, Randy realizes the importance of continuing education. Seeing the value of having industry certifications, this is the 2nd designation he has achieved. The industry is growing, and bringing additional opportunities to the Licensees is what Nationwide Inventory Professionals is all about - helping them achieve success. We create marketing opportunities and connections so they can concentrate on building their business.”
Prior to being able to attain the certification as an Appraisal Examiner, inventory professionals must first earn the Certified Inventory Specialist (CIS) designation. The CIS is an all-encompassing industry recognition while the CAE focuses specifically on the inventory professional’s role serving the appraisal industry. This prerequisite is to help ensure that each is prepared to serve this niche in a knowledgeable and professional manner. In addition to the Appraisal Examiner course, successful completion of the Customer Service course and an elective chosen from the NICA curriculum are also required.
When completing an inventory service for residential and commercial clients, the inventory professional is often asked if they know the value of items, or if they can refer an appraiser. Bagwell is now able to fill this request. Appraisal Examiners collect the information required by an appraiser, then submit the information to the participating appraisal firm. Additionally, appraisers can now confidently hire Bagwell’s service, rather than travel to document the information, as required in the past. This allows for a two-way referral opportunity between inventory and appraisal professionals.
