Mary’s Center Honors The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation
The Building Stronger Communities Award will be presented at the Center’s Annual Gala.
Washington, DC, October 05, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Mary’s Center will honor The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation with the Building Stronger Communities Award for its commitment to supporting the work of organizations that help the least fortunate members of the community. The award presentation will take place at Mary’s Center’s Annual Gala, Noche Tropical, on October 6th at the Washington Hilton Hotel.
“This award recognizes the compassion and caring spirit of the Cafritz Foundation and their commitment to improving the lives of those most in need every day,” says Maria Gomez, Mary’s Center’s President and CEO. “We have been fortunate to partner with and receive unconditional support from the Foundation for many years now and, thanks to their deep commitment to creating a wider impact, Mary’s Center will be able to serve more residents in Montgomery County in 2018.”
The Cafritz Foundation has played an essential role in Mary’s Center’s expansion in Montgomery County, MD, by providing financial support to help purchase a new building that will triple Mary’s Center’s service capacity in Montgomery County. With the generous support from the Cafritz Foundation, Mary’s Center will be able to expand its medical, behavioral, dental and social services to help meet the increased demand for such services in the County.
