Media Lounge Are Wirehive 100 Award Winners 2017
For the second year in a row, Media Lounge are delighted to announce they have won "eCommerce Site Of The Year 2017" with their online wedding store Love & Lilah.
Bournemouth, United Kingdom, October 18, 2017 --(PR.com)-- It’s fair to say that when October rolls around, the thoughts of the whole team at Media Lounge immediately turn to just one thing - the Wirehive 100 Awards.
Having already tasted success in last years’ awards by claiming "eCommerce Site Of The Year 2016" for their client Superior Fires and their fantastic new online store, every member of the Media Lounge team was feeling nervous once again, but for a different reason this time - could they win it for a second year in a row?
After much deliberation, Media Lounge chose the stunning Love & Lilah website as their entry this year; check it out for yourself here - www.loveandlilah.com. This site not only provides a brilliant user experience, but also gave the Media Lounge team the opportunity to really test their design and development skills. Having achieved their goal of combining exceptional design with high quality functionality, Media Lounge knew they had a special site on their hands.
When Media Lounge originally met the Love & Lilah team, they were a fledgling business that wanted to break into the already saturated wedding supplies industry. It was instantly clear that they'd need a new eCommerce site that would not only impress visually, but also provide a genuinely helpful service to their customers.
As with any entry into the "eCommerce Site Of The Year" category, each site is judged by a panel of respected and distinguished industry professionals with a particular focus on five key areas; design, development, content, SEO and performance.
The panel this year included an Ogilvy board member, a BBC lead producer and a TED speaker among others - so we knew the judges’ standards would be set very high. The Love & Lilah site ticked every box, having been designed from the ground up as a specialist marketplace that catered for both customers and suppliers - something that Media Lounge felt made it unique in its category.
There were some fairly big challenges to overcome during this project, but the unique issues that come as part of designing and developing a hybrid marketplace also gave the Media Lounge team the opportunity to innovate. They knew that simply building a good-looking website wasn’t enough - it needed to deliver in all aspects, and they're delighted to say that the Wirehive Awards panel agreed with them...

It’s a real honour for the Media Lounge team to win this award not once, but twice in consecutive years. Everyone at Media Lounge works tremendously hard and this award is testament to their dedication and commitment to supporting their clients.
