Searching for Information is Serious Business, on NetAlter
NetAlter Search is a function of NetAlter which will locate information with surgical precision. This has been made possible by defining an artificial intelligent (AI) search algorithm and a hierarchical clustering of information at the onset.
Mumbai, India, February 28, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Present internet search is far from perfect and increasingly controlled by monolith corporations whose prime focus is on commercial delivery instead of accuracy or search relevance.
It does not deliver exacting results and it not possible to know if the results are current or outdated. The data provided by search results are read only and the user cannot use it for further analytical research.
Present search engines also search through a fraction of online resources available on the internet thus excluding a majority of information.
Most search engnes require crawling through websites and webpages, extracting Meta tag information and then index them before making them available for search.
After 8 years of R&D and over 60 man years of vigorous research, a System and Method has been developed, that can be truly considered as an alternate to the current Internet system – NetAlter.
NetAlter Search is a three stage process.
Pre Search:
· User will be able to download partial or complete domain specific taxonomy, ontology, keywords, semantic syntax and other resources.
· Customize multiple AI Agents as per user preferences to aid search and matching.
Search:
· Will allow searching information for a particular date range. The search results are displayed on the basis of current and historical data.
· NetAlter will search for information on the basis of Semantic Web technology.
· Display information based on Location, Period and specific “Fields” based on taxonomy and ontology organization of data and also search through archived records.
· Will provide “Deep Web Search”, “Wide Search” and “P2P Search” canvassing through web pages, databases, servers, local personal computers, directories, thus covering all shared information available on the NetAlter network.
· Users will be able to lookup the metadata details of the publishers of information on NetAlter.
· NetAlter search will provide a user friendly visual interface in the form of Search Wizard that aids easy navigation through advanced search concepts.
· NetAlter will not require crawling for information as the “Tag” information is stored at the onset, when the content is published.
The most recently published information is distinctly highlighted.
· The default positioning of information on NetAlter Search results is based on popularity and relevance of content.
· NetAlter Search will provide for search based on multiple terms or keywords with the search results displayed separately for each term or keyword.
· Provides for clustered search, which is faster as it does not require searching through entire NetAlter database; only a clustered data set.
· Distributed Search option enables locating information from the nearest search resource including the user’s local database; with a “refresh” option to retrieve results from the NetAlter server.
· In the near future, efforts are on to distribute processing of search queries on the NetAlter Supercomputing GRID delivering results at super fast speeds.
· Provides Plug-In Search from within Netalter based applications.
· NetAlter will also provide a two-way Search and Match option based on the user’s profile and aided by pre-defined AI Agents.
Post Search
· Users can save search results to local database via compatible domain specific NetAlter applications. These applications can be downloaded by the user and may be available under various licensing options including free utilities.
· Once the search results are saved in the relevant data structure, the associated applications can provide analytical comparison, ranking, tracking, follow up, transaction, etc.
NetAlter Search will be superior in all respects as compared to existing search engines and more….because for us, searching for information is serious business.
