Vitex Introduces Dual Rate 40/100G QSFP28 Transceiver

Ridgefield Park, NJ, November 02, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Vitex LLC, a leading provider of high speed transceiver solutions adds new 40/100G dual rate QSFP28 SR4 transceiver module to its existing 100G transceiver offerings. Vitex partners with Innolight, a trusted leader in high speed transceiver manufacture to bring high quality optics to telecom and datacom customers.

The new product is designed to carry 4x10G (40Gbps) or 4x25G (100Gbps) signals over multi-mode fiber. “The dual rate transceiver offers flexibility to a customer looking to upgrade to a 100G network in the future,” said Michael Ko CEO of Vitex. “We work with top manufacturers to offer innovative products to our customers.”

About 40G/100G dual rate QSFP28 transceiver

The QSFP28 full-duplex optical module offers 4 independent transmit and receive channels, each capable of 10Gb/s and 25Gb/s operation for an aggregate data rate of 40Gb/s and 100Gb/s on 150 meters and 100 meters of OM4 multi-mode fiber, respectively. Featuring an optical fiber ribbon cable with an MTP/MPO connector, electrical connection is achieved through an MSA-compliant 38-pin edge type connector.

The product is designed with form factor, optical/electrical connection and digital diagnostic interface according to the QSFP28 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). Individual channels can be addressed and unused channels can be shut down for maximum design flexibility.
