The Chairmen’s RoundTable Celebrates Twenty Years Serving San Diego
Non-profit organization has mentored the leaders of over 500 local companies
San Diego, CA, November 06, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Chairmen’s RoundTable (CRT), a San Diego non-profit organization that provides pro-bono mentoring to CEOs of private businesses in the Greater San Diego area, announced today that they celebrated 20 years of mentorship last week in a private gathering of CRT mentors, sponsors and special guests.
The CRT mentorship process has generated many inspiring success stories. A number of examples have been documented as case studies on the CRT website. “I know I speak for all CRT mentors past and present when I say it has been an honor and a privilege to work with the many outstanding local business leaders that have taken advantage of our mentorship program over the years,” said Paul Thiel, Chairman of the CRT. “Mentorship is truly a rewarding experience for everyone involved. Our greater hope is that the cumulative effect of mentoring one company at a time has had a positive impact on San Diego's regional economy. We like to think we have and continue to make a difference.”
According to a survey of past CRT mentees conducted recently by Cal State San Marcos graduate students, no one reported dissatisfaction over their experience with the mentorship process and over half claimed to be “very satisfied.” Sixty percent of the respondents said the program exceeded their expectations and everyone agreed their mentors were qualified with 85% rating their mentors as “very qualified.”
The CRT was founded in 1997 by a small group with the same mission that the much larger organization currently pursues – to help local businesses grow and prosper. Over the past decade, more than 100 current and former CEOs have served as CRT mentors. The organization also includes outstanding local sponsor companies that provide generous support through both funding of CRT operations and referrals of local companies to be mentored by CRT.
