Nov. 14: Emmy-Winning Former TV Anchorwoman to Tell Denver-Area Business Leaders How to Turn Foes Into Friends
Denver, CO, November 05, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Emmy-winning former television anchorwoman and talk show host Connie Dieken, CSP, CPAE, will reveal to a Denver-area gathering of top business leaders the easiest – and most effective – ways of turning even hardened opponents into loyal allies.
Dieken is set to share these and other interpersonal communication secrets at a meeting of Leadership USATM Colorado, 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in the Curtis Ballroom at The Landmark, 5345 Landmark Place, Greenwood Village.

Dieken, who now advises high-visibility senior executives of major corporations, will share her insights during a seminar titled “Influence Your World: Leading in the Spotlight.”
Seminar participants will learn techniques for successfully coaxing others (stubborn or contentious people in particular) to trust, respect, and willingly support new ideas.
“One of the challenges facing Colorado business leaders today is resistance to change – people don’t easily accept ideas and goals and actions they disagree with,” said Laura Stack, MBA, CSP, CPAE, founder and CEO of Leadership USA Colorado along with its parent organization, Leadership USATM, Inc.
“Ms. Dieken is coming to our event to explain how to correctly address this challenge,” Stack indicated. “She also will be educating us on ways to convey complex information in easy to understand – but not dumbed-down – terms.”
An expected highlight of the seminar will be Dieken’s tips for favorably influencing those with narcissistic and passive-aggressive personalities, Stack said.
Dieken learned how to influence those personality types during the nearly two decades she spent anchoring Cleveland television newscasts and co-hosting the nation’s longest-running TV talk show, “The Morning Exchange.” Her work won five Emmy awards and earned her a place in the Radio/Television Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
In 2000, Dieken launched onPoint Communication, a global coaching and consulting firm that offers guidance to senior leaders in the public eye and helps them build lasting influence as well as significant presence.
Stack said that the insights Dieken will bring to the Nov. 14 seminar align with values promoted by Leadership USA Colorado.
