About Jason A. Lief

Jason Lief has worked as a pharmaceutical and biotech patent litigator for 22 years, primarily litigating several dozen Hatch-Waxman cases for various branded pharmaceutical companies. His trial work has included taking direct and cross-examinations of key expert witnesses at trial, and arguing Markman Hearings and Daubert motions.

Mr. Lief’s cases have addressed issues ranging from infringement to validity and inequitable conduct. The patents he has litigated have included molecule patents as well as patents relating to tablet construction, stability, sustained release properties, dissolution and pharmacokinetic parameters.

Mr. Lief holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Brooklyn College (1987) where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude. Mr. Lief graduated from Cardozo Law School (1995), where he graduated magna cum laude and was an Editor on the Cardozo Law Review.
