Coppre at Fair Utsav, New Delhi as Part of the World Fair Trade Week
Delhi, India, November 08, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The World Fair Trade week will be held at New Delhi from 8th-13th November 2017. It will be organized by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) along with the Fair Trade Forum of India (FTF-I). Every 2nd year the WFTO holds this Biennale event along with a host country. In 2013 it was at Rio de Janeiro, subsequently followed by Milan in 2015. This will be one of the largest gatherings of Fair Trade stakeholders, from producers to wholesalers and to retailers to end-buyers.
Coppre will be part of Fair Utsav which is being held in DLF Place, Saket, New Delhi from 8th-13th November. More than 80 stalls will showcase traditional Indian handicraft and handloom products from across the country. For the seven days when our capital will be declared the Fair Trade Capital of the world, the DLF Place will be converted into an interactive exploration ground of our crafts, culture with live artists and a diverse array of Fair-Food. The Utsav is open for all.
The Global Conference from 9th-13th November will be held with more than 250 participants from businesses, civil society and thought leaders across the world through various workshops, plenaries and keynotes. Workshop sessions will debate on the changing market environment and its contributions towards the realization of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Keynotes will be addressed by Shashi Tharoor, Devinder Sharma, Vandana Shiva, Nicolette Naumann etc. There will also be a Fair Fashion show at NIFT Delhi on 10th November as also a Fair cooking show.

Coppre is a Pune-based social venture working to revive heritage metal crafts. Having understood the gap in the market for high-quality handcrafted wares and the need to promote and preserve artisanal skills of metal workers, Coppre designs, produces and markets handcrafted contemporary wares.
Coppre impacts around 150 artisans in various clusters of Northern and Western India bringing highly skilled metal-working artisans (mainly copper) into the economic mainstream. The organisation also promotes a culture-based development model that focuses on heritage and craft preservation.
