Press Pillay Opens Applications for Spring 2018 Pillanthropy Program

Toronto agency will offer pro-bono marketing to two nonprofit organizations.

Toronto, Canada, November 07, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Press Pillay, Toronto’s leading boutique digital communications agency, today announced the opening of applications for the second term of its thriving philanthropy initiative, Pillanthropy.

Pillanthropy was created earlier this year in an attempt to humanize the marketing industry. Under the program, Press Pillay offers a full suite of digital marketing services to grassroots non-profit organizations. Organizations are trained to take-over and better understand their online branding and voices upon completion of the program.

Past Pillanthropy clients have included Subz Pads, a South African organization that provides sanitary napkins to girls in underserved communities and Harmony Places, a Toronto-based program that provides day programs to adults with disabilities.

"Partnering with Press Pillay has allowed us to significantly increase engagement on all our social channels," said Kathleen Byrne of Harmony Place. "Not only has it taken our organization to the next level, but it has allowed us to share the true spirit of our core values."

“Last year a trillion dollars was spent on marketing worldwide,” said Nesh Pillay, Press Pillay’s chief executive. “Just a tenth of that could’ve ended extreme global poverty worldwide. We hope to correct that imbalance.”

Non-profit organizations interested in becoming joining the Pillanthropy program can apply through Press Pillay’s website.
