Son Resurrects Father’s Old Business Venture and Immediately Offers Up Rare and Historic, 400+ Year Old, First Edition, First Printing Bible Leaf for Free
Son of successful entrepreneur resurrects Father's old business venture 25 years later by creating a promotional contest to give away unique and historic first edition, first printing page from a 1611 King James Bible.
Shirley, MA, November 09, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Back in 1990 family business owner Jack McElroy bought a First Edition, First Printing 1611 King James Bible Leaf of Isaiah 9:6. The excitement and wonder he experienced upon receiving his leaf was incredible. He immediately thought, “How can I share this piece of history with other people?”
He immediately set out to buy his very own complete (or as complete as he could find) First Edition, First Printing 1611 King James Bible that he could then leaf out and offer beautifully framed pieces to the general public.
After careful consideration, some time and considerable research, he finally found and purchased an original First Edition, First Printing 1611 King James Bible and paid top dollar to get it (about $71,000). Another First Edition, First Printing 1611 King James Bible sold for nearly $400,000 in December of 2016.

Jack became the first person to index almost every leaf of the original King James 1611 and locate one particular verse on each leaf that “stands out” from the rest.
He sold over 300 leaves but didn’t sell them all. Over the next 25 years he got involved in other projects and no longer actively marketed his remaining inventory of leaves.
So, 25 years later Jack asks his son Evan to sell off the remaining leaves he has left. One of the first things he decides to do is giveaway one of these rare and historic leaves for free in an effort to get the word out.
The competition is scheduled to run from November 12th, 2017 until December 15th, 2017.
