Originally from Moerlenbach, Germany, with a Master of Science degree in Engineering, Pinto worked as an engineer for international companies and traveled extensively in Europe, Asia and North America. She speaks German and English fluently, and has additional language skills in both French and Spanish. She and her husband, Craig, owned and operated the engineering company CSNgineering LLC, which relocated from Savannah, Georgia, to Sarasota, Florida, in 2011.

Pinto's family life is centered around the schools and sports activities of her two children. She keeps up with things going on around town, and enjoys opportunities to volunteer on committees and organize activities. In the rest of her spare time, she enjoys boating and staying in shape with some tennis matches.

Due to her previous experience, she is excellent in marketing strategies, negotiating deals and customer service.
