The Church of Scientology Announces Its Holiday Calendar of Events in Downtown Clearwater
This week, the Church of Scientology, Flag Service Organization in Downtown Clearwater announced their community activities for the Holidays.
Clearwater, FL, November 18, 2017 --(PR.com)-- • Saturday, November 18th from 5-10pm is the Church of Scientology’s Downtown Block Party in honor of Thanksgiving. The event will take place on Cleveland Street between Fort Harrison Avenue and Garden Avenue. The Block Party activities will include live music, food, raffles, prizes, carnival games, bouncy house, face painting, a petting zoo, and a caricature artist. There is no cost to attend or to participate in the various activities.
• Saturday, November 25th, at 1:30pm is The Historic Fort Harrison Open House tour. Guests will visit one of the 220 guest rooms, the Crystal Ballroom with its chandelier of 11,000 Bohemian crystals, oval oak wood dance floor, Tea Lounge, board rooms, restaurants and gift shop. Space is limited, light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to attend.
• December 2nd, during the City of Clearwater’s “Miracle On Cleveland Street,” the Scientology Information Center on the corner of Cleveland and Fort Harrison will host a special reception from 5-10pm. Guests can enjoy Holiday refreshments while viewing the Center’s gallery of panels, and videos covering the Church’s volunteer activities, social betterment sponsored programs, the life of L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology’s Founder, the beliefs of the Church of Scientology and Churches around the world.
• Dec. 2nd (until Dec 22nd) is Winter Wonderland, a complete Holiday village in downtown’s Osceola Park providing photos with Santa, cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, a hot chocolate shop, a petting zoo, pony rides, playground, a Bouncy House, a Giant Slide and the Holiday Express Train! Entrance to Winter Wonderland is free, but we ask visitors to bring a non-perishable food item and/or an unwrapped toy which will be donated to local area charities.
• Dec. 16th is an Old-time radio-style reading by the L. Ron Hubbard East Coast theater performers at the Scientology Information Center in Downtown Clearwater. They will perform Hubbard’s Pulp-fiction short story from 1948 called, When Shadows Fall. It is a cautionary tale of what could happen to Earth - hundreds of years from now – if not safeguarded from deforestation, pollution and neglect, and plight of the last inhabitants to save Earth from final extinction.
