The 3rd Edition of Air Quality & Noise Control GCC Has Been Launched Successfully

The conference started with the opening remarks of the chairman Akin Adamson, Former Regional Director Middle East at Transport Research Laboratory followed by many exciting presentations among which mentioned the opening keynote “UAE Integrated approach in achieving better air quality - A road map to 2021” by Eng. Aisha Al Abdooli, the Director of Air Quality at UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, “Estimating UAE’s air quality standard value for the pollutant particulate matter PM2.5” by Dr. Federico Karagulian from Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, in addition to “Innovative laser-based solution for air quality monitoring and forecasting” by Dr. Ludovic Thobois from Leosphere.
The conference provided an informative panel discussion on developing an efficient response to noise and vibration challenges in the UAE. Panelists included Eng. Yaser Kayed, Head of Environmental Protection Section at Ajman Municipality & Planning Department and Paul Schwarz, Principal, Design Confidence and Chairman at Middle East Acoustic Society.
The first day of Air Quality & Noise Control GCC conference created the perfect platform for the attendees to build relations, exchange ideas and seize business opportunities throughout the ACMi+ interface that allowed for many networking breaks which created a dynamic, efficient and relevant learning environment.
