Britannia Pictures Green Lights New Feature Film "The Vampyre"
Coventry, United Kingdom, December 31, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Britannia Pictures has given the green light for development of "The Vampyre," a new Gothic horror. The feature film will be directed by Rowan M. Ashe, with a script adapted from the short story by John Polidori. The plot follows the story of a young Englishman and his sister who fall prey to a dark and malevolent force, following their encounter with the mysterious Lord Ruthven.
The Vampyre, an 18th century tale, is the progenitor of vampire fiction, having been the influence behind the successful novel, Dracula. A release date of October 2019 is expected.
