DESS Intraoral Scan Bodies Are Now Approved for Use with Carestream Dental’s CS 3600 Intraoral Scanner
Roseville, CA, December 02, 2017 --(PR.com)-- DESS intraoral scan bodies are now approved for use with Carestream Dental’s CS 3600 intraoral scanner. This recent compatibility allows users more flexibility to use their preferred DESS scan bodies, and allows practices to benefit from intelligent scanning features to enhance their implant outcomes.
The CS 3600 intraoral scanner is known for its smart scanning technology and the most recent updates to its acquisition software delivers a number of intelligent scanning features. Doctors using the implant workflow of the CS 3600 scanner will benefit from the new innovative scan body area selection feature inside the software. The scan body area selection feature allows the user to select the region around the scanbody to prevent a mismatched image that can occur when using multiple scanbodies on a single case. Once the area has been captured, the tool can be toggled on or off as needed to continue to scan without adding unwanted structures in the user’s impression or to scan an entire new scanbody.
DESS provides FDA-approved intraoral scan bodies and implant components for over 14 implant systems and 45+ platforms including Nobel Replace, Nobel Active, Straumann Bone Level, Straumann Tissue Level, 3i Certain, Zimmer, BioHorizons, MIS, Astra Osseospeed, Astra EV, Anyklos, Branemark, 3i Osseotite External, Xive and Multiunits.
By using the DESS intraoral scan bodies, Carestream Dental CS 3600 intraoral scanner users can produce superior implant restorations using DESS titanium bases, which have the first FDA-approved industrially preconditioned sandblasted surface applied to the cementable portion of the ti base. This eliminates the need to sandblast, ensures the implant interface connection remains undamaged and reduces chair time by ensuring quick and reliable bonding.
For anterior esthetic cases, where a buccal screw access point was not possible, CS 3600 intraoral scanner users can use the DESS Aurum ti base to place screw access up to 25 degrees off the axis of the implant within a 360-degree range. Practices requiring 3D models can also utilize DESS’s cost-effective and highly accurate analogs.
