Transfinder CEO Launches GeoMarketing Startup
The president and CEO of Transfinder is launching a new company, GeoMarketing, a tele-commerce company that is focused on generating strong leads for its clients by building and filling the pipeline of potential customers. The startup will utilize location intelligence and other processes that Civitella and his team has developed for nearly three decades at Transfinder Corp., the logistics software company located a couple of blocks away.
Albany, NY, December 04, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The next startup to locate in the New York BizLab business accelerator is personal for BizLab founder and president Antonio Civitella.
That’s because Civitella is the founder of GeoMarketing.
GeoMarketing is a tele-commerce company that is focused on generating strong leads for its clients by building and filling the pipeline of potential customers. The startup will utilize location intelligence and other processes that Civitella and his team have developed for nearly three decades at Transfinder Corp., the logistics software company located just two blocks from the BizLab. Civitella is the president and CEO of Transfinder, a 100-person software company with locations in Schenectady, New York; Austin, Texas; and Shanghai, China.
“This business has been on my mind for several years,” Civitella said. “There are so many hard lessons learned as we built Transfinder to become the leading school bus routing company in the nation. Our sales team now is a like a well-oiled machine. And location-intelligence is what we know best. This is the perfect time to apply this expertise to other markets.”
Transfinder’s sales model and location intelligence knowledge is at the heart of GeoMarketing.
“The Transfinder way of generating leads and cultivating prospects is the secret sauce that GeoMarketing will be providing to its own clients,” Civitella said. “I’ve heard from our own tenants in the BizLab who say they would love this kind of company to help them generate sales. We all know sales isn’t easy. Setting up appointments, generating interest in your products or services and closing deals is hard word and its time consuming. I believe GeoMarketing will be the solution companies in a number of industries could benefit from and could be a game-charger for startups.”
GeoMarketing is currently looking to fill at least four positions, tele-commerce representatives and a manager. Those interested in applying may contact jobs@geo.marketing, visit http://www.geo.marketing or attend a job fair at the New York BizLab on from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7. The BizLab is located at 251 State St. in Schenectady. Parking is available in back on either side of Liberty Street.
This will be Civitella’s second startup. He founded the BizLab in 2013. Civitella was Employee No. 3 when he joined what became Transfinder in 1988. He built the first routing products. He purchased the company in 2000.
GeoMarketing will be the ninth company to either locate or become an affiliate of the New York BizLab. Civitella expects GeoMarketing to move into the BizLab within the first quarter of 2018.
“I’m excited about locating GeoMarketing in the New York BizLab because I believe in the accelerator model we’ve created,” Civitella said.
Rick D’Errico, managing director of the New York BizLab, said GeoMarketing will be a welcome addition to the BizLab ecosystem.
“I believe GeoMarketing will benefit from being in the BizLab ecosystem and I also believe the ecosystem will benefit from GeoMarketing’s presence as well,” D’Errico said. “That’s what this community is all about, creating opportunities for creative collisions.”
