Aitken Scientific Announces Agreement with ThalesNano to License Software Package for New H-Cube Autosampler
Aitken Scientific’s software engineering expertise partnered with ThalesNano’s H-Cube technology and the Gilson GX271 sampler has unleashed the full potential of the H-Cube system, enabling full automation of the hydrogenation process.
Thame, United Kingdom, February 27, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Aitken Scientific Ltd announces an agreement with ThalesNano to license automation software for the newly launched H-Cube Autosampler. This product combines a standalone hydrogenation reactor, H-Cube, with an industry recognized automated liquid handler to increase throughput in the development of new molecules.
The potential of the system was initially identified by a major pharmaceutical company who found the H-Cube’s limited throughput and no automation as a problem. They wanted to use the H-Cube for high throughput synthesis for building compound libraries. Aitken Scientific were approached to create the automation software. They developed a user friendly interface for the control application that linked the ThalesNano H-Cube to the Gilson GX271 sampler with its integrated high pressure valves to provide the ability to automatically load samples into the H-Cube and then collect the resultant product.
Combining Aitken Scientific’s software engineering expertise with ThalesNano’s innovative technology and Gilson’s compact, proven technology has demonstrated that a complex process can be streamlined and simplified.
The system provides: Automated Hydrogenation, processing of a large number of samples, automated collection of product, wizard driven software, queue reactions with different parameters and chemistry and software support.
Many companies that already own an H-Cube will just need to add some additional hardware with the software to create a fully automated system. All of this is available from ThalesNano. Aitken Scientific are proud to have been involved in delivering this innovative solution.
