Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Processes: New Updates Presented at Pre-Filled Syringes Europe 2018
The Pre-Filled Syringes Europe conference and exhibition is almost here and will return to Central London next month on 17th and 18th January 2018.
London, United Kingdom, December 06, 2017 --(PR.com)-- SMi Group promises to equip attendees with more knowledge and more key contacts to help them propel their injectable device into 2018 when they open doors to host the 10th annual show on Pre-Filled Syringes Europe next month.
Highlights will include a spotlight on manufacturing processes featuring two presentations presented by Intertek and F. Hoffmann-La Roche
1. Trace Level Quantification of Residual Silicone PFS by Intertek.
With over 17 years' experience in different business development and project management related functions within the pharmaceutical industry, Stefan Heck is currently Manager of Business Development at Intertek, an analytical contract organization offering its services under GMP, ISO and GLP requirements.
The talk will discuss silicone quantification by q-NMR as a more sensitive and less material/time consuming method compared to traditional techniques. A summary will be given of the q-NMR application, a tool for tailoring the amount of silicone in the syringes and 100% batch control that has so far not been possible.
Drawing from case studies, it will explore advantages such as simplified sample preparation, reduced sample quantity and less matrix influence.
2. CCI Testing of Syringe Barrels at Dimensional Extremes Facing Requirements of Updated USP<1207> by F. Hoffmann-La Roche
The presentation by Markus Hemminger, Senior Engineer from F. Hoffmann-La Roche, will offer guidance on key updates. Markus will provide an essential background on key requirements; discuss test approaches; offer insight into calculation and sourcing of worst case samples; and look at applied test methods and results.
SMi’s 10th annual 2018 Pre-Filled Syringes Europe conference and exhibition will take place on 17th & 18th January at the Copthorne Tara Hotel, Kensington, London UK.
