The 10th Player Foundation is hosting Toys for KC, a toy drive to benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City from November 17, 2017 through Friday, December 15, 2017. Toys 4 KC is not only about collecting Toys 4 Kids with Cancer, but it's also about reaching out to those children and their families in the Kansas City community that have no choice but to spend their Christmas holiday looking at the walls of a hospital room.

One cannot imagine what such a tiny gesture means to these families as they struggle through the hardships that come from childhood cancer. A small gift just lets them know that there are people thinking about them, and that people out here care. The 10th Player Foundation has held several fundraisers earlier this year to help several families who are coping with childhood cancer. The 10th Player Foundation’s mission does not stop with one family; they are determined to impact as many lives as they can through their commitment to alleviating the financial burdens of the families being affected by this horrendous disease.

In 2018, the 10th Player Foundation will be hosting its first 5K at Powell Gardens on September 8th and their board is currently working on planning a golf tournament in the spring. The 10th Player Foundation was founded in March 2017, in honor of Clayton Crump, a local baseball player who was diagnosed with cancer at age 16. They are a local Kansas City nonprofit dedicated to alleviating the financial burden that childhood cancer places on families. It is their goal to work with local hospitals and organizations to provide immediate financial assistance to families. The 10th Player Foundation is committed to raising funds so families coping with childhood cancer can focus on the quality of life.
