Criterion International Re-Releasing Wayne Static's Deep Blue Dream Record
Announcing the long awaited re-release of Deep Blue Dream featuring Wayne Static of Static-X.
Chicago, IL, December 14, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Deep Blue Dream, created in 1987 by Wayne Wells, later to be professionally known as "Wayne Static" of the band Static X. Deep Blue Dream carved out a niche in the bourgeoning Chicago alternative music scene of the late 1980's. Although short lived, the band included a stellar revolving musical cast of Chicago musicians including Wells, future frontman of Smashing Pumpkins Billy Corgan, drummer Jimmy Chamberlain (who penned a song included on this record), bassist Eric Harris, Ken Jay, Bobby Pomeroy, and others filled out the changing amalgam of people involved with the band. Deep Blue Dream headlined in Chicago and toured the midwest promoting their debut record produced by Criterion Record's co-founder R. Lewis Floodstrand of the band Eight and One Half. Since the untimely demise of Mr. Wells, interest in the Deep Blue Dream record has grown steadily. With the re-release of the self titled EP originally launched in 1988 the record, now a highly sought after collectors item, will now be available to the public for the first time in almost 30 years.
