Interlink Networks RADIUS Server Supports EAP-SIM Authentication in Its Newest Release

Ann Arbor, MI, February 27, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Interlink Networks RAD-Series RADIUS Server Version 7.3, released this month, includes EAP-SIM Authentication Protocol Support, extensions to its Advanced Policy Engine, and supports additional carrier class service platforms.

New Feature: EAP-SIM Authentication Protocol Support - EAP-SIM secures IP WLAN access to SIM enabled mobile devices. The RAD-Series RADIUS Server implementation is a powerful and flexible implementation including:

Full RFC 4186 compliance including Fast Reauthentication and Pseudonyms, both IMSI and non-IMSI usernames, both algorithm based and random pseudonym generation for identity hiding, and flexible storage of subscriber identities including Authentication Centers on SS7 networks and any RAD-Series RADIUS Server supported datastore including local configurations and LDAP.

Tools to implement A3/A8 algorithms are also included with the latest release of the RADIUS Server.

As with all RAD-Series RADIUS Server features, EAP-SIM applications can be further extended and customized using the RAD-Series Advanced Policy Engine and RADIUS Software Developers Kit. These features make the RADIUS Server ideal for the full range of EAP-SIM applications including:
1) GSM network operators with an existing SS7 infrastructure who are expanding into IP network access.
2)Enterprises and network operators wanting to secure SIM enabled mobile access independent of SS7.
3) Mobile hardware and software vendors needing an easy to use EAP-SIM authentication server for a lab environment.

New Feature: Extensions to the Advanced Policy Engine - The RAD-Series Advanced Policy Engine provides powerful, administrator defined, authorization policies using a straightforward scripting language, which requires no compilation or other software development. In Version 7.3 of the RADIUS Server, the Advanced Policy Engine has been extended to include:
1) AVP deletion and AVP modification
2) If-then-else control actions
3) User defined logging functions
4) AVP instance counting functions
5) AVP length, substring, and string conversion functions
6) Tagged AVP support

The RAD-Series RADIUS Server V7.3 also supports a variety of Carrier Class Service Platforms including Sun Solaris 8, 9, and 10 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3, 4, and 5.

Interlink Networks also provides the professional services where needed to support offsite and onsite design, development, testing, and training services on all of its RADIUS Server software to ensure the timely and reliable delivery of AAA services for its customers.
