The 42nd World Hospital Congress Has Opened the Call for Abstracts

Geneva, Switzerland, December 13, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The International Hospital Federation and Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association, organizers of the 42nd World Hospital Congress, are inviting hospital and healthcare organizations to submit abstracts for an opportunity to present at the next Congress which will be held on 10-12 October 2018 in Brisbane, Australia.

The Congress will tackle the overarching theme “INNOVATE | INTEGRATE | INSPIRE – How can healthcare evolve to meet 21st century demands.” Each day will have keynote and panel plenary sessions and concurrent sessions that will focus on one of the three sub-themes.

Healthcare organizations who would like to showcase their work to international healthcare leaders can submit an abstract online. Selected abstracts will be presented in either one of the free paper sessions or displayed as a poster.

Chosen abstracts will also be considered for publication in the journal of the International Hospital Federation and the Australian Health Review as well as present in a webinar.

Deadline of submission is on 15 January 2018.

The sub-themes for each day are:

From Volume to Value - examples of relevant topics could include:
• Value-based care
• Patient reported outcome and experience measures
• Achieving funding value
• Preparing for transformational change

From four walls to the neighborhood – examples of relevant topics could include:
• Integrated health care (hospital and primary care) case studies
• Funding and structural support systems for integrated care
• Universal health care
• Developing partnerships and relationships between health providers

From information to intelligence – examples of relevant topics could include:
• Health technology and security
• Use of “big data” and artificial intelligence
• Personalised medicine
• Data informed decision making
