Enabling the Next Generation of Pre-Filled Syringes from Design to Manufacturing
Pre-Filled Syringes East Coast retruns to Boston next April for the 5th annual industry summit.
Boston, MA, December 16, 2017 --(PR.com)-- SMi’s next annual conference in the global series of events on Pre-Filled Syringes will return to Boston, Massachusetts next April with Pre-Filled Syringes East Coast 2018. Growing year on year, the 5th annual conference and exhibition has already attracted an international audience of medical device experts and senior industry specialists from Belgium, Finland, France, Japan, United Kingdom and USA.
“Over the past decade, pre-filled syringe venues have grown significantly in terms of content and attendance and much of this can be attributed to the interest and need to share information, as the development of pre-filled syringe drug products are a prime example of complex, multidisciplinary efforts,” said Dhairya Mehta, Associate Director of Device and Combination Products at Shire. “Pre-filled syringes have undoubtedly improved the lives of the patients who rely on these drug products. As an industry, we share a responsibility to continue to develop and evolve these drug products as new technologies in delivery, formulation and manufacturing emerge."
Agenda highlights will include a unique spotlight on feeding back human factors and end user considerations into PFS design with keynotes from Shire, Sanofi Pharmaceuticals, Terumo Pharmaceutical Services and Matchstick. As well as providing attendees with a critical insight from a patient perspective, the session will discuss leveraging performative research, the future of combination products and debate on patient compliance through real world case studies.
