Trackside Station Grill & Bar’s General Manager on the Right Track for Success
After two years as General Manager at Trackside Station Grill & Bar, Chrissi Wolosz is leaving to pursue her career in sports management.
East Stroudsburg, PA, December 21, 2017 --(PR.com)-- On Sunday, December 17th, Trackside Station Grill & Bar said goodbye to one of the best general managers it has ever seen, Chrissi Wolosz. Chrissi, a third year Sports Management student at East Stroudsburg University, is leaving to pursue not one, but two internships with the university. Trackside is extremely proud of her accomplishments and glad to have had the opportunity to help her grow in her professional career.
When asked about Chrissi’s time at Trackside, founder Diane Tepedino said, “Chrissi is a strong individual. She is determined, professional, and mature beyond her years. We are sad to see her go, but know that she will be successful in whatever she does. She will always have a home at the TEPSBEST Restaurant Group.”
As the daughter of two Marines, Chrissi claims that this military mentality has driven her to be her best. Chrissi decided to go to ESU because it is her hometown and both of her sisters attended school there. Her sister Katherine has been Chrissi’s biggest influencer because she is so driven, constantly expanding her horizons, and makes things happen. Chrissi attributes her minor in Economics to her sister, as Katherine told her it would make her more competitive.
When Chrissi Wolosz began as a host at Trackside Station Grill & Bar, she had no idea she would eventually become a manager. Her friend, Michele Mbuthia, was a food runner and suggested that Chrissi should apply. Owner Michael Tepedino asked her when she was available to work and told her to start the following day, which happened to be one of the busiest days of the year - East Stroudsburg University’s Winter Graduation, Class of 2015. In a few short months, Chrissi showed so much promise that she was given a promotion and more responsibility. Trackside had so much trust in her because she was always performing above the call of duty. At only 19 years old, Chrissi dominated managing a high-volume restaurant that has overwhelmed experienced restaurant managers.
Both of Chrissi’s internships are for event directing and planning. At one internship, she will be planning and organizing the Symposium Sports Career Opportunity Recruitment and Employment (SCORE). This event will have alumni and panelists speaking to students about internships and employment opportunities. Chrissi’s second internship is for the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA). She will be planning NIRSA Day at the recreation center to celebrate and promote recreational fitness in the college community.
After her internships are complete and she graduates, Chrissi wants to be an event director at Madison Square Garden in NYC, a goal she has had since her sophomore year of high school. Chrissi says she is grateful for her time at Trackside. She was able to find herself in the customer service realm and it bettered her as an individual. She will miss the customers and the staff, who always made her day. She says Trackside is her baby and she will always be thankful she was able to grow there as a professional manager. Though she will be greatly missed, the entire TEPSBEST Restaurant Group wishes her the best in her future endeavors.
