Tough Mudder and Cedar Lake Cellars Agree to Multi-Year Deal

St. Louis, MO, December 21, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Cedar Lake Cellars, a nationally renowned winery and event venue, announced today it will partner with Tough Mudder, Inc. the leading active lifestyle brand and media company, as the official venue for Missouri Tough Mudder event weekends. The five-year commitment brings Tough Mudder to Missouri with the first event taking place on Aug. 11th and 12th, 2018. Tickets are on sale at ToughMudder.com starting Thursday, Dec. 21.

The Tough Mudder Missouri Weekend will feature three events – Tough Mudder, 10 miles/20+ obstacles, Tough Mudder Half, 5 miles/10+ obstacles, and Tougher Mudder, 10 miles/competitive race wave. Thousands of people are expected to attend garnering millions in economic impact for the area. Participants receive free action photos, finisher t-shirt, finisher headband and a celebratory beer upon completing the course.

Tough Mudder Weekend Highlights Include:

Tough Mudder Half is a 5 mile mud and obstacle course featuring some of Tough Mudder’s signature obstacles – but excluding the more extreme elements such as ice and electricity. Tough Mudder Half is the perfect gateway series for introducing people to mud runs and the Tough Mudder Family of Brands.

Tough Mudder Full is a 10-12 mile mud and obstacle course designed to pull participants out of their comfort zone. With no winners or clocks to race against, it is not about how fast you can cross the finish line it is about teamwork and accomplishing something almost as tough as you are.

Tougher Mudder takes their signature Tough Mudder Full course and adds a competitive twist. This first start wave of the day allows Mudders to push themselves to a new level. In addition to gaining first access to the course, participants will also get unique finisher gear, an official course time, and the ability to win prize money.

Obstacles to Highlight:

· Funky Monkey - The Revolution: – A literal “spin” on Tough Mudder’s classic Funky Monkey obstacle. Participants test their upper body strength to complete this challenge while transitioning from monkey bars to a series of revolving wheels – all while dangling over a pit of water.

· Kong: Taking obstacles to new heights, literally, this will be debuting as the Legionnaire finish obstacle at all 2017 events. At over 25 feet high, this obstacle will have participants swinging like Tarzan, traversing from one floating ring to another with increasing distance between them.

Cedar Lake Cellars winery and event venue, is located at 11008 Schreckengast Rd. in Wright City, Mo. It will host its 11th and final Battleground race on May 19, 2018. Bolm, who founded the mud run in June, 2012, said his company will continue to privately rent its venue to businesses and organizations for team-building experiences.
