Colin Bird will be running 51 miles non-stop from Casey, into Martinsville then through Marshall and back, to raise support for the next stage of filming, Sojourner: The Movie (www.sojournermovie.com). In honor of his father Dan Bird who lived a strong 51 years, Bird will dedicate each mile to 51 various people or causes around the globe.
Global Bird Industries is proud to launch this First Time Ever event: SnowRun51 with Colin Bird, former Running Coordinator and Bootcamp Instructor at the Hollywood YMCA, Author (Death: What Not To Say), Actor, Motivational Speaker, Screenwriter of the upcoming movie "Sojourner," "Ultra Marathon Man" based on the New York Times Bestselling book, UltraMarathonMan by Dean Karnazes, running a 51 mile dedication run, non stop.
Colin Bird, who was also a one time nursing home chaplain, and who has lost over 300 pounds through running, lives and exemplifies his own personal motto: “Show Up & Don’t Give Up” in all he does, in order to inspire the world. This run being the first winter run of its magnitude, is meant to prove that if he can, anyone can, achieve a dream.
