Building Hope for the Future: New Resource Series Coming to Southwest Chicago Suburbs
Free monthly series supported by local professionals offers free resources for the community.
Orland Park, IL, January 12, 2018 --(PR.com)-- On Tuesday, January 16th, a new, free monthly program, Building Hope for the Future, is coming to Chicago's southwest suburbs. The first event in the series will be hosted at Parkview Church, 11100 Orland Parkway, Orland Park, IL 60467 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Similar to the concept of the Resource Center in her law office, Building Hope for the Future was founded from a long-time dream of attorney Gwendolyn Sterk, Sterk Family Law, to provide the community access to resources to assist with life’s everyday struggles. The program is free and open to the public to attend. Slated to be hosted on the third Tuesday of every month, there will be a different topic each month, led by various local professionals, to provide a safe, free, open forum for the community to obtain information. While the location of each event will vary, depending on the hosting sponsor, the majority of the events will be held in or around the southwest suburbs.
“There is not one person who is not experiencing some sort of life problem which is in the back of your mind every single day,” said Gwendolyn Sterk. “Each of us have our struggles; sometimes these struggles paralyze us to the point we don’t know where to turn to for help. The goal of Building Hope for the Future is to provide the stepping stone to guide the way to recovery.”
The program will be driven by the contribution and support from local professional resources to provide this opportunity to the public at no cost. Besides Sterk, the other founding sponsors of the program includes Parkview Church, Evergreen Senior Living, Southland TV, and Associates in Professional Counseling. Updated information about the event can be found on at facebook.com/BuildingHopefortheFuture.
