U Recover to Join Sto-Rox First Opioid Crisis Summit

Pittsburgh, PA, January 16, 2018 --(PR.com)-- U Recover, an addiction intervention service located in the Greater Pittsburgh area, will be one of several professional organizations which will attend and co-facilitate at the first opioid summit in Mckees Rocks Pennsylvania. The opioid summit will have a gathering of health care, mental health, recovery and addiction services from around The Greater Pittsburgh area providing information and hope to the community of Mckees Rocks and its surrounding communities by providing expertise in personal testimonials, information tables, support networking, guest speakers, community resources and community conversations.

America’s opioid epidemic keeps getting worse, with the latest data showing that drug overdose deaths in the US climbed by roughly 21 percent between 2015 and 2016 - from a record high of more than 52,000 to a new record of nearly 64,000. About two-thirds of those overdoses were linked to opioids.
