Pink Lobster Dating Locks Up Women in a Prison Bar to Find Love
Pink Lobster Matchmaking dating company has joined forces with Alcotraz, London’s first immersive theatrical bar, to offer women a truly one-of-a-kind experience, which is literally behind bars.
London, United Kingdom, January 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Taking place behind the unassuming shutters of 212 Brick Lane, Alcotraz is inspired by Hollywood Movies and numerous television programmes that have brought to life America’s most infamous prison. The experiential drinking concept takes guests, or more appropriately, inmates to an exciting world of mischief, as they smuggle liquor past the Warden to be used to make delicious, bespoke cocktails.
Creator, Sam Shearman, says “Whilst being a hugely fun experience, Alcotraz allows visitors to be immersed into an environment only seen by most in fiction. We’ve been excited about the prospect of working with other brands, so when approached by Pink Lobster Matchmaking, the partnership made perfect sense given the stories and characters that are brought to life in the experience, made popular in the hit TV Show Orange is the New Black.”
As the London drinking scene continuously offers up exciting concepts, this immersive experience takes inventiveness to a whole new level, offering guests a truly unique and memorable experience that cannot be found anywhere else.
Following the global success of Orange Is the New Black, or OITNB to avid fans, women all over the world have developed a fascination with what really goes on inside prison gates. The show has made stars of the leading cast, and brought LGBT members Ruby Rose, Samira Riley and Laverne Cox to a mainstream audience.
Pink Lobster Matchmaking, for lesbians, bisexuals and gay women, jumped on this concept due to the particular fascination by their members. Orange boiler suits have indeed become the new black for many a party from within the community.

All convicted criminals, dressed in their orange prison jumpsuits, get their own inmate numbers upon arrival, before learning some tips on smuggling contraband past the Warden, a knowing nod to the stories brought to life in OITNB. Included in this unique experience are four free alcoholic cocktails per ticket and hopefully a shared top bunk with your favourite inmate.
