2018 Women's Retreat "A Seat at the Table"
Announcing Guest Speaker, Dr. Heather Holleman
Columbia, SC, January 24, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Women's Ministries at Northeast Presbyterian Church invites women of all ages to attend the 2018 Women’s Retreat “A Seat at the Table” on February 23-24, 2018.
The retreat will kick-off Friday night with coffee and desserts, followed by the first talk to be given by author, speaker and college instructor, Dr. Heather Holleman. On Saturday, attendees will return for a day of fellowship, breakfast, lunch two more learning sessions and worship music led by Kim Walsh. Together, women will explore how they are seated with Christ, guarded by Christ, and how walking closely with Jesus enables them to endure whatever they will go through in life.
"We are delighted and privileged to have Dr. Holleman speak at this year's retreat. She has received numerous teaching awards and her teaching philosophy finds its roots in what it means to be 'seated at the table',” says Gina Walsh, Retreat Chairperson.
Heather Holleman, PhD, is a faculty member of Penn State University’s English Department and teaches both freshman composition and advanced writing. Heather also serves on the staff of Faculty Commons with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) and helps direct the graduate student ministry at Penn State University. She is the author of three Bible studies: Seated with Christ; Guarded by Christ and Included with Christ.
Early bird registration is only $30! Full-time high school or college student registration is $25. After January 28th, the cost will be $35. To learn more about this event or to register, visit nepresbyterian.org/retreat.
