SAFE Federal Credit Union Names Robin Kelly Its Director of Compliance
Sumter, SC, January 25, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Robin Kelly, who has worked at SAFE Federal Credit Union for 18 years, has been named the credit union’s Director of Compliance.
Kelly was SAFE’s Card Services Manager for more than a decade, after starting with the credit union in 2000 as a switchboard operator, working her way up through positions in member services and collections.
In the newly created position, Kelly will assure that SAFE, the largest credit union based in the Midlands, complies with the myriad regulations that apply to credit unions and other financial institutions, in areas from lending to mortgages to fraud. She leads a staff of four.
“When you combine complex regulations and our growth, now that we have passed the billion dollar asset level, it requires the efforts of a lot of good people to make sure that we follow all the rules and protect our members and their money in everything that we do,” said Darrell Merkel, president and CEO of SAFE Federal Credit Union. “We are counting on Robin Kelly to help us in that mission.”
