New Math Book Reaches Homeschool Parents; The Equation for Excellence: How to Make Your Child Excel at Math is Released
Bethesda, MD, March 01, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Arvin Vohra Education released today Arvin Vohra’s new book, The Equation for Excellence: How to Make Your Child Excel at Math. This book teaches parents the techniques, principles, and methods necessary to ensure a child’s success in math.
The books approaches math education from a dramatically different perspective from the standard. According to Arvin Vohra, “This book teaches parents not only what to teach and how to teach it, but also how to provide the irresistible motivation to excel that every child should have. Additionally, there is a strong focus on developing cognitive abilities. There is a science to teaching math, and there is also an art to it. Right now, in America, most parents and teachers are doing it wrong.”
A particularly large audience for the book is parents who are homeschooling their children, many of whom are not completely comfortable teaching math. According to Arvin Vohra, “More and more parents are homeschooling their children because they are dissatisfied with the standards in public and private schools. They want to give their children a much better education, and The Equation for Excellence shows them how to do that.”
The author, Arvin Vohra, is also the founder of the internationally recognized educational firm, Arvin Vohra Education (AVE). “A big part of this book is making excellent math education acceptable to everyone. And by excellent, I mean the kind of no-compromise, rigorous education clients get at AVE, with the same types of results – perfect SAT math scores, perfect SAT II math scores, straight A’s. The tutoring services that AVE provides are not financially affordable to most people, but with this book, we hope to bring that kind of education to everyone.”
