L. Ron Hubbard East Coast Theatre Performs “When Gilhooly Was in Flower” at the Scientology Information Center
Clearwater, FL, February 09, 2018 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday February 10th, the L. Ron Hubbard East Coast Theatre will perform their first show of 2018 at the Scientology Information Center of When Gilhooly Was in Flower*. First published in August 1938 in the Romantic Range Magazine, this action-packed Western romance tells the story of Mary Ann Marlow and Jigsaw Gilhooly. Mary Ann thinks she’s figured out how make Jigsaw more romantic - but ends up with a lot more than she’s bargained for. There is no cost to attend and light refreshments will be served, all are welcome.
This classic pulp fiction story will be performed in the style of an old-time radio show: incorporating costumes, sound effects and ingenuity – bringing the story to life.
L. Ron Hubbard was among the most prolific and popular writers through the Golden Age of Pulp Fiction. Indeed, between 1934 and 1940, some 140 L. Ron Hubbard tales appeared in the pages of legendary Pulps - often as many as three titles an issue and bylined under some fifteen pen names. With 19 New York Times bestsellers and more than 250 million copies of his works in circulation, Mr. Hubbard is among the most acclaimed and widely read authors of our time.
This is the first of an on-going series of performances by the theatre this year.
