Local Dallas chef is forging relationships with farmers and ranchers.
Dallas, TX, February 09, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Dallas Business Journal today named Christopher Patrick to its list of 40 Under 40. Patrick, the culinary director of Abacus-Jaspers Restaurant Group, will be recognized with 39 other impressive honorees in a special publication of the Dallas Business Journal and at an awards event on March 20.
More than 350 eligible nominations were submitted this year, representing nearly every industry of North Texas. In the end, judges selected the most impressive group of 40 individuals under age 40.
Judges recognized Chef Patrick for his culinary accomplishments and dedication to the region. His tenure at Abacus during the last five years has given him the freedom to experiment with different menu creations and food pairings.
He has led the charge to source the best, sustainably grown local foods in Dallas. In addition, Chef Patrick proactively forms relationships with local farmers and ranchers to promote healthy business in North Texas.
One coveted honor among chefs is an invitation to cook at the renowned James Beard House in New York City. Chef Patrick was invited and cooked for the Foundation’s members on May 11, 2017.
“Christopher Patrick is an example of why this year’s class of honorees is so impressive,” said Tracy Merzi, publisher of the Dallas Business Journal. “His work with local farmers to serve quality, healthy food is truly noteworthy.”
