Biosynth Launches the First AquaSpark(TM) Products Stemming from Tel Aviv University Collaboration
AquaSpark™ molecules are the new generation of chemiluminescence probes for research and diagnostic applications. AquaSpark™ probes offer unique advantages as they can work as single agents, they have a higher efficiency and sensitivity over currently existing probes and they are especially designed to work under physiological conditions and can be used ex-vivo and in-vivo.
Staad, Switzerland, February 16, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Only last August, Ramot at Tel Aviv University and Biosynth AG announced their joint development work on novel detection molecules. The subject of this cooperation is the AquaSpark™ technology for chemiluminescence-based markers. They represent state-of-the-art technology and considerably improve the detection limits of diagnostic tests in comparison to existing conventional systems. Tel Aviv University’s Business Engagement Center, Ramot has filed a series of probes under the trademark name AquaSpark™. Biosynth received a license to manufacture and sell the AquaSpark™ probes.
Today, Biosynth announced that just after six months of intensive work together the first products have been launched. These are the most sensitive substrates for the detection of phosphatase activity on the world market today. Phosphatase is a widely-used enzyme in clinical diagnostics and basic research, a crucial component in antibody-based assays to visualize marker proteins for many diseases. Biosynth has launched two AquaSpark™ phosphatase substrates with different properties and price tags. These two options allow immunoassay manufacturers and research labs to achieve hitherto unique results in their applications.
