Coalition Helps Churches Control Rising Energy Costs

The Faith Based Energy Coalition was recently formed to help churches and synagogues aggregate energy procurement and get pricing similar to large corporations.

Trenton, NJ, February 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Energy costs are one of the largest expenses for most companies after salaries. Many school systems, municipalities, and large corporations purchase energy using an aggregate procurement process where they combine the usage of many related facilities to get a better rate from the supplier. The Faith Based Energy Coalition was recently formed to help churches and synagogues aggregate energy procurement and get pricing similar to some large corporations.

Robert Hall, Managing Director of the Util Solutions Group, a Hamilton, NJ based energy consulting firm founded the Faith Based Energy Coalition to help large churches reduce energy cost after hearing his pastor mention the huge electric expense the church had to pay each month during a Sunday service. "Although a large church can spend a few hundred thousand to over one million dollars annually in electric and gas costs, most do not have competitively priced contracts and many are on risky variable rate plans with the local utility," Hall said. "We hope to help change the way energy is procured and managed in some of the U.S. largest churches and save them millions of dollars in the process," he said.

Util Solutions Group is an energy consulting firm that helps commercial utility customers get the best rate for electricity and gas in deregulated U.S. markets. The company also educates and assist companies in benefiting from state clean energy incentive programs.
