Health-e-MedRecord Recognized as the First Medicare-Certified QCDR for Electronic POLST
HEMR is the first Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) certified by the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services for electronic Physician’s Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST).
Los Angeles, CA, March 13, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Health-e-MedRecord (HEMR) became the first Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) certified by the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services for electronic Physician’s Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST).
HEMR has partnered with the Ventura County Medical Association (VCMA) to launch the nation’s first QCDR electronic POLST Registry powered by Medcordance, HEMR’s flagship product. Due to their partnership with the VCMA, the registry is aptly named VCMA-HEMR QCDR. Physicians can now report electronic POLST submissions as a quality measure under the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) to provide clinicians with a CMS-approved quality reporting mechanism for end-of-life counseling through POLST.
Medcordance QCDR reports quality metrics on behalf of clinicians by extracting clinical data collected whenever a POLST is submitted into the Medcordance ePOLST Registry. Additionally, HEMR’s QCDR reports 10 other quality measures relevant to clinicians of any specialty actively engaged in end-of-life counseling based on clinical information submitted through Medcordance and the QCDR.
HEMR is available by appointment for inquiry and demonstrations of its flagship ePOLST and Advance Care Planning platform, Medcordance. If you are in Boston during the Annual Assembly from March 14-17, 2018, conference attendees can also meet with CEO, President and Co-founder Dr. Carlo Reyes to discuss Health-e-MedRecord, Medcordance and everything HEMR is doing to improve patient access to personalized patient care.
