OccamSmart Releases Industry First mPCIe Smart Gateway Card for LoRa-Based Networks at Mobile World Congress 2018
OccamSmart showcases its new line of smart solutions for LPWANs at the 2018 GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, including world’s first general available mPCIe LoRa Smart Gateway Card.
Barcelona, Spain, February 28, 2018 --(PR.com)-- OccamSmart – Occam Technology Group’s family of LPWAN-focused IoT devices, introduces world’s first mPCIe Smart Gateway Card for LoRa-based networks at the 2018 GSMA Mobile World Congress, and current availability for purchase.
The event features more than 108,000 attendees and executives representing at least 200 countries, and is recognized as the world’s largest mobile industry exhibition. During the exposition, Occam Technology Group will be introducing the world’s first mPCIe Smart Gateway Card for LoRa-based networks as part of its OccamSmart family of LPWAN-focused IoT products.
OccamSmart’s mPCIe Smart Gateway Card differentiates itself from other LoRa-based mPCIe gateway cards via the use of a USB command protocol and the inclusion of a dedicated microcontroller. This allows offloading of low-level radio-specific operations from the host device to the gateway card itself, increasing message throughput. The card enables a variety of configurations by offering either USB or UART interfaces on the mPCIe connector.
