Dr. Rubin is Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania with secondary appointments as Professor of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His research in infectious diseases has been funded by the NIH, NSF, DARPA and the Global Alliance for TB Drug Discovery. In addition to his work on the basic biology of the disease, he has extended the investigations to mathematical modeling of complex biological systems. As both a Professor of Medicine and Computer science, Dr. Rubin is researching promoting and applying new technologies to improve the vaccination of children in Africa (for more information you can see Dr. Rubin Tedx talk). The success of these programs is dependent on the enforcement of a cold chain supply chain to achieve vaccination efficacy.
Eyal Kamir, CEO of Brieftrace commented, “We are very proud to have Dr. Rubin join our team, we believe his experience in supply chain, computer science and emerging technologies will help steer Brieftrace into future where the supply chain does not dilute the quality of the products.”
